My Story
"Michael Seth Smith" was born on December 30, 1948 in El Centro California . He attended Ben Hulse elementery school where he cought the interest in playing the guitar and self tought him self. during this time, he sang in his local church youth organisation . This was the time of new emerging music (Rock N Roll) and Michael enjoyed the sounds of Buddy Holly & The Everley Brothers.
In 1963 he found himself playing surf music in local garage bands in his neighborhood. 1964 found him playing second lead guitar in a local band ( The Wailors LTD.).
It in this band that shaped his desire to make some kind meaning out of his passion for playing music.
In late 1965 after the brake up of the Wailors LTD. he and some fellow band membors of that band formed ("THE CALIFORNIA BOYS ") and it was at this time when Michael discovered the concept of song writing.
Although there was a vast time in between then and preasent day, Michael would again and again try to make his music heard. " Thats just the artistry of this life I have."
In 2009, he compleated his 1st Cd , "In These Times" followed by "Between a Rock and Another Hard Place" in 2010. In 2011 he Compleated "The 3Rd" but the music file
had to be retrived the next year because of a glitch in his computer.
Currently he is working on his live performances, his next Cd projects and enjoying his time of just being "MICHAEL SETH SMITH " Singer/SongWriter & Performer.
In 2014 completed all recordings that will appear on the 4th CD album (Adrift on a Lifeboat) but during that time personal events prevented it's release and more over a change of location for the artist song writer.
Now in 2020 was finally able to continue with that release and more music project's.
